In 2012, the Saskatchewan Minister of Health, Honourable Dustin Duncan declared the first week in December as Health Research Week in Saskatchewan.

In celebration of the event, our department has showcased dynamic teams of researchers by publicly featuring one research team each day during the week. Health Research Week is jump-started by a message from Keith Dewar, the President and CEO of RQHR about the value of research for RQHR. The week is capped by another message from Carol Klassen, the VP of Health Information Management Systems.

Each day, an email is broadcast to all of RQHR with a photo of each chosen team and a short summary of their on-going research. Teams are chosen by a panel of scientists based on the quality and quantity of their research portfolio over the previous year.
