Ali Bell, M.A., M.Sc.
Ali Bell, M.A., M.Sc., is a Research Scientist in Research and Health Information Services (RHIS) in the Regina Qu'Appelle Health Region. Having completed an M.A. (Hons) degree in Psychology at Edinburgh University, Ali worked for several years in Scotland in the fields of applied nutrition research and community health.
Ali moved to Saskatchewan in 1999 where she completed a M.Sc. in Nutrition at the University of Saskatchewan. Ali has worked on a variety of research projects co-ordinated by the University of Regina (Faculty of Kinesiology and Health Studies), the former Regina Health District, the Centre for Indigenous People's Health Research, and was a policy analyst (health indicator development and reporting) for Saskatchewan Health. Ali has held teaching positions in both Scotland and Regina. Research interests include the study of biopsychosocial interactions on health status, community-based health research (with an emphasis on nutrition and physical activity), eating behaviour and disorders, and nutrition-related behaviours in adolescence.
