Erwin Karreman, Ph.D.
Erwin Karreman, Ph.D., is a Research Scientist working with the College of Medicine (University of Saskatchewan - Regina Campus) through the RQHR Research and Health Information Services (RHIS) department. After obtaining a Masters of Science degree in Human Movement Studies from the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam, Erwin moved to Regina to work as a PhD student. There, he completed his doctoral studies in Kinesiology and Health Studies at the University of Regina. He also taught Research Methods and Statistics courses, both at the undergraduate and graduate level During that time, he also worked as a research assistant on a variety of research projects that were concerned with topics such as the general health of school youth, moving for medical reasons: the quality of advice, and the impact of body-checking in minor hockey. Erwin's research interests are in the area of group dynamics. More specifically, he has a strong interest in athletic team performance and the causal relationships it has with other group variables such as leadership behaviour and group cohesiveness.
