REB Membership

The REB includes a minimum of five members, including men and women, with collective expertise in the areas of research, patient care, ethics, and law. The Chair, a research scientist within the Regina Qu'Appelle Health Region, appoints members to the committee who are:

• A member of clergy or ethicist
• A health care consumer from the community
• A member of the academic community
• A representative from medical staff
• A representative from Clinical Pharmacy Services
• A representative from Pharmacy and Therapeutics (P & T) Committee
• Members of Research and Performance Support unit
• Professional Psychologist
• Lawyer
• Ad hoc members with expertise in specific areas may be requested by the Chair of the Board to participate as needed.

REB terms are generally two years, with a maximum of three terms. In order to have phased turnover, some members may have a four-year term.
