REB Membership
The REB includes a minimum of five members, including men and women, with collective expertise in the areas of research, patient care, ethics, and law. The Chair, a research scientist within the Regina Qu'Appelle Health Region, appoints members to the committee who are:
- A member of clergy or ethicist
- A health care consumer from the community
- A member of the academic community
- A representative from medical staff
- A representative from Clinical Pharmacy Services
- A representative from Pharmacy and Therapeutics (P & T) Committee
- Members of Research and Performance Support unit
- Professional Psychologist
- Lawyer
- Ad hoc members with expertise in specific areas may be requested by the Chair of the Board to participate as needed.
REB terms are generally two years, with a maximum of three terms. In order to have phased turnover, some members may have a four-year term.
