Gordon J. G. Asmundson
Dr. Gordon J.G. Asmundson, PhD. R.D. Psych (Provisional), is a Professor of Health Studies and Psychology at the University of Regina, a Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) Investigator, and the leader of a CIHR New Emerging Team on PTSD. He has published over 170 journal articles and book chapters as well as 5 books. Dr. Asmundson served as a member of the DSM-IV Text Revision Work Group for the Anxiety Disorders. He is fellow in several scholarly organizations and in 2005-2006 was chosen to train as a Beck Scholar at the Beck Institute of Cognitive Therapy and Research. His research and clinical interests include assessment and basic mechanisms of the anxiety disorders, health anxiety, acute and chronic pain, and the association of these with disability and behavior change.
