Research Showcase 2010
Research Showcase 2010

Research and Performance Support (RPS) hosted the fourth annual Regina Qu'Appelle Health Region Research Showcase on June 9th at the Radisson Plaza, Hotel Saskatchewan. This conference aims to increase awareness and recognition of research and knowledge exchange activities occurring within the RQHR and to facilitate the sharing of knowledge obtained through local research activities. Over 130 staff, residents, interns, and external affiliates attended the event.
This year, unlike previous years, the half-day event began with a lunch for all attendees, followed by a poster viewing session and podium presentations from local researchers, highlighting some of the most innovative research within the RQHR. This year's event also featured a keynote address titled 'When Education isn't Enough. Using Social Marketing to Improve Healthy Behaviours' by Dr. Sameer Deshpande from the University of Lethbridge. Award presentations concluded the day, where the the top three abstracts submitted for the conference received a $500 travel bursary to assist in sharing their findings outside of the RQHR. Thank you to all of the staff, residents, interns and research associates who submitted an abstract for this event.
